Jessica worked with Weeds, Inc. to convert a 2.5 acre lawn area on her home property to a wildflower and perennial meadow. This area is a pipe-line in a no-build zone. Over the course of its first growing season, the meadow provided habitat for many insect and animal species as well as acting as a cleansing “sponge” to offset rainwater that travels downhill to a protected wetland.
This lawn area is in both a pipeline and a conservation zone in Malvern, PA. The grass had been treated in preparation for meadow conversion in October 2022.
By July 2023, the seeded wildflower meadow was in its first year of flowering.
